Notification Settings

FairTest can send email and SMS notifications to your team when important events occur.

Configuring Email Notifications

  1. Go to Setup > Notifications
  2. For each event type, you can:
    • Toggle on/off — enable or disable notifications
    • Add extra recipients — enter additional email addresses to receive notifications

Notification Events

Default Recipients

By default, notifications are sent to:

  • All users in your organisation with Owner, Admin, or Manager roles
  • The specific employee's manager (for positive result notifications)

Extra Recipients

Add email addresses for people who should receive notifications but don't have a FairTest account — for example, an HR team email or a safety manager's personal email.

SMS Notifications

FairTest can send SMS messages to selected employees when they are chosen in a random selection.

  • SMS notifications are configured per-selection when creating or scheduling a selection
  • Selected employees receive a text message notifying them they've been selected for testing

Message Log

View the history of all sent notifications (email and SMS) in Setup > Message Log. You can see delivery status, recipient, and message content for every notification sent.

Tips

  • Configure notifications early so your team is informed from the first selection
  • Add a shared inbox (e.g., safety@yourcompany.com) as an extra recipient to ensure notifications aren't missed
  • Notifications are sent as fire-and-forget — they won't block or delay the action
