Running a selection
This guide walks you through creating and running a random selection event using the selection wizard.
Creating a selection
- Go to Selections
- Click New Selection
- Follow the wizard steps below
Step 1: Pool type
Choose where to draw employees from:

Step 2: Scope filters
Narrow the pool by applying one or more filters:

Leave all filters empty to run an organisation-wide selection.
Step 3: Selection method
Choose how many employees to select:
- Percentage — select a percentage (1–100%) of the pool
- Count — select a specific number of employees
Step 4: Options
| Option | Description |

| Exclude recently tested | Skip employees who have been tested within a specified period |
| Notifications | Choose to notify via Email, SMS, or both |
| Notes | Add optional notes to the selection event |
Step 5: Tester assignment
Assign who will conduct the testing:
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Unassigned | No tester assigned — assign later |
| Auto-assign from roster | Automatically assign based on your roster assignments |
| Specific person | Choose a specific tester from your team |
| Round-robin | Rotate assignment across available testers |
