Roster overview
The roster module lets you manage tester assignments across your organisation, ensuring every region and location has adequate testing coverage.
Purpose
The roster assigns testers to specific regions and locations so that when selections are run, FairTest knows who should conduct the testing. It also provides a visual board to manage assignments and spot coverage gaps.
Roster board
The roster board is the primary view for managing tester coverage. It displays a visual layout organised by regions and locations.
What the board shows
- Regions and locations arranged in a structured layout
- Tester cards assigned to each region or location, showing:
- Tester name and role
- Current assignments
- Selection events overlaid on the board, showing:
- Selection status
- Pool and selected employee counts
- Assigned tester
- Day-of-week filtering to view assignments for specific days
Key features
- Drag and drop — move tester cards between regions and locations to reassign
- Unassigned selections — selection events without an assigned tester are highlighted so you can take action
- Coverage gaps warning — an alert appears when regions or locations have no tester assigned, helping you identify and fill gaps before selections are scheduled
Getting started
- Go to Roster
- Review the board for any coverage gaps
- Assign testers to regions and locations using the Assignments page
- Use the board to monitor and adjust coverage as needed
