Managing assignments

Assignments link testers to regions, locations, or general duties so FairTest knows who should conduct testing in each area.

Viewing assignments

Go to Roster > Assignments to see all tester assignments.

Filters

Use the filters at the top of the page to narrow the list:

Table columns

ActionsEdit, deactivate/restore, or delete

Creating an assignment

  1. Click New Assignment
  2. Fill in the details:

TesterSelect a team member to assign
Assign toChoose Region, Location, or General, then select the specific entity
Start dateWhen the assignment begins
End dateWhen the assignment ends
Days of weekSelect which days the assignment is active (at least one day must be selected)
NotesOptional notes (e.g. "Covering for annual leave")
  1. Click Save

Coverage gaps

If any regions or locations do not have an active tester assignment, an amber alert banner appears at the top of the page listing the uncovered areas. Address these gaps to ensure full testing coverage.

Status badges

StatusColourMeaning
CurrentGreenAssignment is active and within its date range
UpcomingBlueAssignment is active but its start date is in the future
PastGreyAssignment date range has passed
InactiveGreyAssignment has been deactivated

Managing existing assignments

  • Edit — update any assignment details
  • Deactivate — temporarily disable an assignment (can be restored later)
  • Restore — reactivate a deactivated assignment
  • Delete — permanently remove the assignment

Pagination

The assignment list displays 25 entries per page. Use the pagination controls at the bottom to navigate.
