Managing assignments
Assignments link testers to regions, locations, or general duties so FairTest knows who should conduct testing in each area.
Viewing assignments
Go to Roster > Assignments to see all tester assignments.
Filters
Use the filters at the top of the page to narrow the list:

| Scope | Region, Location, General |
Table columns
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Tester | The assigned team member |
| Scope | Region, Location, or General — with the specific entity name |
| Dates | Start and end dates of the assignment |
| Days of week | Day badges showing which days the assignment is active |
| Notes | Optional notes about the assignment |
| Status | Current status badge |
| Actions | Edit, deactivate/restore, or delete |
Creating an assignment
- Click New Assignment
- Fill in the details:

| Tester | Select a team member to assign |
| Assign to | Choose Region, Location, or General, then select the specific entity |
| Start date | When the assignment begins |
| End date | When the assignment ends |
| Days of week | Select which days the assignment is active (at least one day must be selected) |
| Notes | Optional notes (e.g. "Covering for annual leave") |
- Click Save
Coverage gaps
If any regions or locations do not have an active tester assignment, an amber alert banner appears at the top of the page listing the uncovered areas. Address these gaps to ensure full testing coverage.
Status badges
| Status | Colour | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Current | Green | Assignment is active and within its date range |
| Upcoming | Blue | Assignment is active but its start date is in the future |
| Past | Grey | Assignment date range has passed |
| Inactive | Grey | Assignment has been deactivated |
Managing existing assignments
- Edit — update any assignment details
- Deactivate — temporarily disable an assignment (can be restored later)
- Restore — reactivate a deactivated assignment
- Delete — permanently remove the assignment
Pagination
The assignment list displays 25 entries per page. Use the pagination controls at the bottom to navigate.
