Proving a Selection Was Random
Every random selection in FairTest is independently verifiable. You can generate a tamper-evident PDF report and share a public verification link that lets auditors, employees, or unions re-run the same selection algorithm in their own browser and confirm the result matches.
Blackout dates
Blackout dates define periods when testing should not be scheduled, such as public holidays, shutdown periods, or company events.
How Random Selections Work
Random selections are at the core of FairTest. They provide a fair, auditable way to randomly select employees for drug and alcohol testing.
Manual Pool Selection
In addition to random selections, FairTest allows you to manually select specific employees for testing. This is useful for reasonable cause, post-incident, or return-to-duty testing.
Running a selection
This guide walks you through creating and running a random selection event using the selection wizard.
Viewing Selection Details
The selection detail page gives you a complete view of a selection event, including the full pool and linked test results.
Selection schedules
Selection schedules automate recurring selections so your testing programme runs consistently without manual intervention.
Selection templates
Selection templates save your commonly used selection configurations so you can create new selections quickly without re-entering the same settings each time.
Testing targets
Testing targets let you define testing goals with a specific frequency and scope, then track compliance against those goals over time.
