Single Sign-On (SSO)
FairTest supports single sign-on through Google, Microsoft Azure, and SAML 2.0, allowing your team to log in with their existing work accounts.
Supported SSO Providers
- Google — sign in with any Google or Google Workspace account
- Microsoft Azure — sign in with your organisation's Azure Active Directory account (ideal for enterprise environments)
- SAML 2.0 — connect any SAML-compatible identity provider (e.g., Okta, Entra ID, Auth0)
Signing In with SSO
- Go to the FairTest login page
- Click Sign in with Google or Sign in with Microsoft
- Authenticate with your provider
- You'll be redirected to your FairTest dashboard
For SAML SSO, the login page will automatically detect your organisation and redirect you to your identity provider.
First-Time SSO Login
If your email matches an existing FairTest invitation, your account will be linked automatically. If not, you'll be guided through the signup process.
SAML SSO Setup
Organisation owners can configure SAML SSO in Settings > Single Sign-On:
- Select SAML as the SSO provider
- Enter your identity provider name, metadata URL, and email domain
- In your IdP, create a new SAML 2.0 application
- Set the ACS (Reply) URL and Entity ID as shown in FairTest
- Map the email attribute in your IdP
- Click Configure SAML
SSO Enforcement
When an SSO provider is configured for your organisation, all users are required to sign in using that provider. The login page will automatically detect your organisation and redirect you to the correct sign-in method.
MFA with SSO
When using SSO, multi-factor authentication is handled by your identity provider (Google, Azure, or your SAML IdP), not by FairTest. Configure MFA in your provider's admin settings.
Tips
- SSO is available on both web and mobile
- Your FairTest role and organisation access are managed within FairTest, regardless of how you log in
- If your organisation uses Azure SSO, contact your IT team to ensure FairTest is approved in your Azure AD tenant
- For SAML SSO, coordinate with your IT team to configure the identity provider application
