Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
Multi-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security to your FairTest account by requiring a second verification step when logging in.
Setting Up MFA
- Go to Account
- Find the Multi-Factor Authentication section
- Follow the prompts to set up MFA using an authenticator app (e.g., Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password)
- Scan the QR code with your authenticator app
- Enter the verification code to confirm setup
Logging In with MFA
Once MFA is enabled:
- Enter your email and password as usual
- You'll be prompted for a verification code
- Open your authenticator app and enter the current code
- You're logged in
Tips
- Store your recovery codes in a safe place in case you lose access to your authenticator app
- MFA applies to email/password logins — SSO (Google, Azure) uses your identity provider's MFA settings
- Contact support if you're locked out of your account
