Managing Your Account

Your account settings let you manage your personal profile, security, and preferences.

Accessing Account Settings

Click Account in the navigation to access your account page.

Profile

Update your personal details:

  • Name — your display name across FairTest
  • Email — your login email (contact support to change this)

Click Save to apply any changes.

Password

Change your password:

  1. Go to Account
  2. Enter your new password
  3. Confirm the new password
  4. Click Update Password

Password requirements:

  • Minimum 8 characters
  • Must include at least one lowercase letter
  • Must include at least one uppercase letter
  • Must include at least one digit

Appearance

Customise how FairTest looks:

  • Theme — choose from:
    • Auto — follows your device's system setting
    • Light — always use light mode
    • Dark — always use dark mode
  • Density — control spacing and sizing:
    • Compact — tighter spacing, smaller elements
    • Default — standard spacing
    • Comfortable — more spacing, larger elements

Your preferences are saved automatically and apply across the entire dashboard.

Two-Factor Authentication

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your account.

Enabling 2FA

  1. Go to Account
  2. In the Two-Factor Authentication section, click Enable Authenticator App
  3. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app (e.g. Google Authenticator, Authy)
    • If you cannot scan the QR code, use the manual entry key provided
  4. Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app to verify
  5. 2FA is now enabled — your account will show an Enabled status

Removing 2FA

You can remove 2FA from your account settings unless your organisation requires it. If your organisation enforces 2FA, the option to remove it will not be available.

Multi-Organisation Access

If you belong to multiple organisations, you can switch between them using the organisation switcher in the sidebar. Your account and login remain the same — only the active organisation context changes.

Mobile App

Your account page includes download QR codes for the FairTest mobile app:

  • iOS — scan to open the App Store listing
  • Android — scan to open the Google Play listing

Use these for quick access to install the mobile app on your device.

Delete Account

You can permanently delete your account from the bottom of the account page.

What gets deleted

  • Your profile and login credentials
  • Organisation memberships
  • Chat history
  • Preferences

What gets kept

For compliance purposes, the following records are retained in an anonymised form:

  • Test records
  • Selection history
  • Import logs
  • Audit trail

How to delete

  1. Go to Account
  2. Click Delete Account
  3. Type delete my account to confirm
  4. Click the confirmation button

This action cannot be undone.
