Biometric Login (Mobile)

The FairTest mobile app supports biometric authentication — Face ID on iPhone and fingerprint on supported Android devices — for fast, secure access.

Enabling Biometric Login​

  1. Open the FairTest mobile app
  2. Go to Account
  3. Toggle on Biometric Login
  4. Authenticate with your face or fingerprint to confirm

How It Works​

Once enabled:

  • After 5 minutes of inactivity, the app locks automatically
  • When you return, you're prompted to authenticate with your biometric (face or fingerprint)
  • If biometric fails, you can fall back to your email and password

Your credentials are stored securely on your device using the system keychain — they are never sent to or stored on our servers.

Disabling Biometric Login​

  1. Go to Account in the mobile app
  2. Toggle off Biometric Login
  3. You'll return to standard email/password login

Tips​

  • Biometric login is device-specific — enabling it on one device doesn't affect others
  • If you get a new phone, you'll need to enable biometric login again after signing in
  • This feature requires your device to have biometric hardware (Face ID, Touch ID, or fingerprint sensor)
